KAP 5-Security Sites

The King Abdullah Project 5, or KAP 5, includes the development of 170 security headquarters sites of the Ministry of Interior in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The sites are located all over the kingdom land in all of the Central, Western, and Eastern regions. The proposed sites are key to the kingdom’s vision 2030 goals when it comes to security and expanding the MOI infrastructure and network.

TB Associates' role in the project included a full flood mitigation study, as well as the proposal and design of any engineering solutions. The flood mitigation study started with a full hydrological assessment and analysis of existing and post-development scenarios, then a full hydraulic assessment and analysis was done. After the completion of the hydrological and hydraulic assessments, a flood risk assessment was completed before the design of an internal drainage system of the project area to mitigate the effect of any local flooding.
