Anaba Dam Spillway

The Anaba dam is one of the major hydraulic structures proposed in Algeria, and is part of the Ministry of Water Resources of Algeria plan to capitalize on the natural resources of the country. The proposed dam includes a morning glory spillway which has the purpose of transferring the reservoirs water before reaching overtopping level safely to the natural stream downstream of the dam. TB Associates was assigned the task of developing a CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) model for the spillway and accordingly develop its design both from a hydraulics and structural aspects.
