Al Balda Interchange

Al Balda interchange in Iraq links the main arterial, in Baquba city, with the expressway leading to Baghdad with a total construction cost of $40 Million U.S. Dollars. The project included the full design of the interchange, starting with data collection and topographic survey of the area, ending with landscaping, street lighting, and relocation of utilities. Throughout the project, TB Associates undertook performing an economic feasibility study for the project, an environmental impact assessment, geotechnical investigations in addition to hydrology and hydraulics study, then proceeded to perform the road geometric design, taking into consideration traffic counts and analysis throughout.
